Hey Ya'all!

This is be kind to Erock Volunteers Month. As you climb around you may observe a couple of over-the-hill climbers wearing TX State Park Volunteer hats. We will appear to be lost!
We started climbing as a retirement hobby. That means we have lots of time and limited ability. We will be on Erock staff until Mid Nov. So if you see us around please be kind.

We did get to summit Erock yesterday. MOTB and other routes were pretty well covered up. So we went more left, more left than the start of Walk in the High Country.
Found a left facing dihedral, trad climbed past a little tree, made a move over an overhang, and then headed up some more slab to land close to the cave entrance.
Probably not a named route, I thought it to be around 5.5 because of the one big move, BR thought it to be 5.3. She's the better climber.

Any advice on how to get cactus out of ropes and socks would be appreciated.

We are living at the Erock maintenance center, so if you need any help with the camping etc or your partner doesn't show tag us and if we are not working we (one or the other) can belay.
No help for camping reservations, will be able to give advise on primitive camping.

See you on the rock.

Hey Dallas. Welcome to the site. Glad you found your way over here. This site gets a little more traffic than the Midwest section of MP.com.

I'm sure I'll see you around the park at some point.
