Bump.

Folks: please take time to vote in the election. It's our resource, and the CTCC are the folks who work on our behalf to keep it great. They also run the Granite Gripper every year.

Remember to include a copy of your ID with your ballot. If you vote at the park, be sure they make a copy of your ID when you turn in the ballot, so that it will be counted. (When I was out there Sunday, the people at the desk were clueless about the election, and I had to explain it to them.)

It's your park, make your voice heard.

Cheers,
Bill

It was easy to do.

Just printed the ballot out, made a copy of my DL and mailed it.

It took about 3 minutes.

I thought I had already uploaded this but I don't know if I ever did. It's the bios of the candidates.

Sorry it's so close to the end of the election period before I posted it.....

This is a really retarded question, but what happens to the xeroxed copies of DL? Who is getting to see them? Can we submit copies that have the DL# blacked out on them? There are lots of cases of identity theft going around, not that this is contributing or anything, but lots of people are paranoid about what happens to their info.

no one from Dallas this round?

Azenari, If you mail in your ballot with a copy of your DL, the ballot is kept by the Head Ranger at the park until the time for CTCC representatives to count them. Once counted, CTCC is responsible for the ballots. When I counted in 2006, I made sure each ballot counted had a valid DL, filed the ballots, and shredded the DL copies.

If you vote at the park, you should only need to show your DL, not provide a copy.

There are a lot of new candidates on the ballot, should be interesting.

If a mail-in ballot without an ID is removed from its envelope and put into the pile, then there's no way to distinguish it from a legitimate hand-in at the park. Unless the park staff keeps the ballots well-organized, this could create some issues. Seems likely that whoever does the count may either end up counting all ballots regardless of ID or no ID, or risk not counting legitimate ballots that were dropped off in person, ID shown.

IWBNI the park staff knew what was going on and could be relied on to handle ballots appropriately, but apparently that's a bit of a stretch.

Bill

David Cain sent me the results just now.

But then he said more ballots were just received, so I have pulled the PDF down until he sends me updated results.
